Café, bakery, and distinguished French restaurant all rolled into one, Paul is one of Agdal's most popular spots. In the evening there is a variety of fish, game, meat dishes, and some good salads. The salade fraicheur (fresh salad) is fantastic, while fish lovers will enjoy the espadon (swordfish) and rouget grillé (grilled red snapper). The filet de boeuf is also very popular. Desserts abound, with the tarte fine aux pommes (apple tart)
and crème brûlée highlighting the menu. During the day, you can lunch on delicious quiches, sandwiches, and crepes. The kitchen stays open late, and the menu changes seasonally. The bakery is a standout in its own right, and makes what may be the best fresh-baked bread in town.
