Planning Your Time

First-time visitors to the region would best use their time by basing themselves in Tangier. The city's bustling medina and abundance of accommodations ensure a good starting point for exploring all that the surrounding area has to offer. Traveling to Tetouan and Chefchaouen is possible by taking CTM buses; however taking a taxi directly from Tangier is much easier (fares should be decided before departing). It's possible to see the major points of the region in a week, but it's best to spend at least four days in Tangier and two days in any other town or city visited to truly get a sense of this unique corner of Morocco.
