Renowned throughout Morocco, this 350-year-old family home houses an excellent restaurant with a handful of guest rooms. Dar Baibou is a complex of three traditional homes, where you'll find gorgeous, personalized suites, and common areas you could lounge in all day warmed by fireplace in winter. Decorations are culled from the best of local crafts. The rooftop terrace is a tranquil oasis, with handwoven carpets, richly covered banquettes, and lantern light in the evenings.
The restaurant Tissemlal, named after the mountain towering over the medina, offers a fixed-price menu with a choice of tagines, slow-roasted meats, and succulent chicken dishes, all served from a bright-tiled open kitchen. Rates include both breakfast and dinner.
