Hotel Parador Review

Ideally situated on the medina's edge, the simple and plain Hotel Parador was originally built in the 1920s as the Spanish governor's house. It is worth stopping in if only to see the gorgeously audacious wall-sized painting depicting "Moroccan social life" by the Casablanca artist Ahmed Louardiri, which he painted during a month-long residency in the hotel in the 1960s and now is displayed in the lobby. Guest rooms are comfortable yet plain, and many, along with the hotel's outdoor terrace, have valley views. Relax by the pool from June thru August.
