Comprising both a restaurant and a nightclub in the heart of Guéliz, Azar exudes contemporary oriental charm both through its Lebanese-Moroccan cuisine and its intriguingly modern take on traditional Moroccan design. The interiors are bedecked with brass lanterns, leather pouffes, and satin cushions intermingled with retro plastic-molded chairs and honeycomb-effect sculpted plaster walls. The mezzanine restaurant is a more intimate space, ideal for romantic dinners. The menu offers Lebanese staples such as tabouleh, falafel, and hummus as starters, with marinaded grilled meat kebabs and cutlets for main courses. A selection of nine Lebanese mezzé du chefto share with a friend makes a very enjoyable and affordable light meal. The top floor of the restaurant hosts live Oriental music every night in its sultry club and bar.
