Despite its location among a dismal row of three mega-hotels to the north of the New Town and its tendency to take tourists by the bus-load, Tichka is surprisingly charismatic. The superb reception hall (look up), pleasant rooms, and poolside dining area illustrate designer and Marrakesh aficionado Charles Boccara's distinctively modern vision of Moroccan architecture. Ask for a room overlooking the elegant garden. The hotel's Moroccan and international restaurants are beautiful and have maintained their reputation for fine cuisine. The bar is an Art Deco masterpiece.
