Either in person or by telephone, ask Mr. Sarmi, of Mohamed Taieb Sarmi at Bazaar ben Rahal, to take you to his warehouse near Rahba Qdima, the carpet souk, to see his stock of Berber tribal rugs and carpets, where he will painstakingly explain their origins and value. Sarmi sends rugs and carpets anywhere in the world; for packages to the United States, the import tax is paid in Morocco.
