Equity Point Marrakech

80, Derb el Hammam, take Rue Mouassine going north from Pl. Bab Fteuh, pass Fnac Berbère (on your left), and after 110 yards double back through arch to the right and follow signs, Marrakesh, Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz, Morocco

Hidden in the souk down twisting, turning derbs, this lively hostel is housed in two adjoining riads, and it even has a swimming pool. Although the decor could do with an overhaul, after a long day of souk exploration, it's a friendly base with loads of traditional charm, communal spaces, Berber tents for relaxing, a Moroccan restaurant, and roof terrace. Equity Point is essentially a hostel, with shared single-sex dorms of four to eight beds, but there are also three private rooms with en suite bathrooms. Expect to find single travelers, backpackers, and a chaotic, understaffed reception area. Single beds in dorms cost from around 200 DH per person. All prices include breakfast.
