Fodor's Review

This small boutique hotel would not be out of place in one of the world's hippest capitals: how wonderful, then, that it is here in the High Atlas. Managers Paul and his charming mother Angès work tirelessly to make your stay a pleasure. Their constant attention to detail, from the exceptional menu to the blend of mid-century modern and Art Deco decor pays off. There are homemade jams at breakfast and witty decorative references, such as the retro film posters and hotel

ware on display stamped "Mamounia." There are hidden corners and romantic hideaways everywhere: on the terraces, by the pool, or in the charming garden suite (a must for honeymooners). There's also an olive grove (the hotel makes its own oil) and a vegetable patch. The hotel has an intoxicating hammam in addition to several fireplaces, making this an equally delightful place to stay in winter. Rooms are so distinctly different that it is worth scrutinizing the hotel's photo gallery in order to request your favorite.
