Café Aksoual Review

A rustic establishment that is popular with locals and hikers out to experience the "real" Morocco, Cafe Aksoual offers traditional dishes: tagines, skewers, bread, and salads, all washed down with eyelid-flickeringly sweet mint tea. Look out for locals texting: it is a intriguing fact that although neighboring villages have only the most basic running water, electricity, and troubled cell reception, Imlil boasts its very own cell tower.

    Café Aksoual Review

    The hotel is situated in front the CAF refuge in the center of Imlil. Its owner is really not welcoming and conveniently manages the CAF refuge as well as this hotel and thus adjusts the prices to make people stay in his hotel rather than in the refuge. Prices are twice as high as in the travel guide books. The hot showers advertised are inexistant- coldest shower of my life! The owner is little more than a good businessman who understands how to profit from the numerous tourists heading to Toubkal.
