Fodor's Review

The Grande Dame of this part of the Atlas, La Roseraie is plush but slightly fading. Open for over 40 years on 60 acres of glorious grounds, it was the creation of one of the earliest pioneers of Morocco's hospitality industry. Today, it remains nested in delightful gardens, with centuries-old olive trees, orchards, and magnificent roses. This said, it is not a highly glamorous place to stay and certain facilities cost extra, so ask for prices before booking that facial. Guests most at home here will be nature-lovers looking to revitalize. Roseraie's criss-cross paths that end in views of the Toubkal range and of the famous Aoudad sheep calmly grazing below. The hammam, fitness room, tennis courts, and four pools (one indoor) are a welcome luxury, as is the chance to watch the sunset behind the peaks from the open-air Jacuzzi.
