Next to Bab Mansour and steps from the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, this stately 18th-century palace has ground-floor suites composed of a bedroom, drawing room, and handsome tiled bathroom, all arranged around a classical patio and fountain. Upstairs, each of the rooms is decorated with different elements and styles, including circular copper bathtubs and canopy beds. Breakfast is served around the fountain on the pleasant patio. The Royal Golf of Meknès club is next door,
and the hotel can arrange excursions to ski at Michlifen or to visit the Roman ruins at Volubilis. The palace was restored by owner Ismaili Raouf as an homage to his grandfather, who was affectionately known as Didi. Bring cash, as the credit-card machine often doesn't work.
