Purebred Arabian and Berber horses and fine hybrids are the star performers at this equestrian breeding and training farm. Under the supervision of Berber horseman Ben Salm, a dead ringer for Nikolai Gogol's character Taras Bulba (and perhaps further evidence that the Berbers have roots in Central Asia), these beautiful stallions receive hundreds of visitors daily during Morocco's high season. The horses, all of which used to be registered with Lloyds of London, are identified by plaques on their stable walls: red for Arabians; green for Berber stallions and mares; and red and green for hybrids. The ratio of the two colors indicates their exact percentages in the horse's bloodline. Guided horseback outings can be arranged for about 350 DH.
