Festival International de Musique Sacrée de Fès

Fodor's Review:

The Festival International de Musique Sacrée de Fès, Fez's summer sacred music festival, has become a great international favorite and a wonderful way to appreciate Fez's finest architecture as music venues. If music and architecture are twin arts, as St. Augustine (a North African Berber by birth) wrote, Fez is the place to put the theory to the test. Concerts are held in such diverse venues as the Roman ruins at Volubilis, the Dar Batha palace, and the Grand Méchouar parade grounds.
