Across the river from Meknès, the Transatlantique has simple rooms punctuated with beautiful views over an expanse of 14 acres. The air-conditioned rooms themselves are not luxurious, but the ones with balconies over the pool and orange trees have a solid colonial feel about them and have been modernized. Pros: great views; spacious grounds. Con: no full-service restaurant. To see Volubilis from here, head to the bus station and hire a grand taxi, which costs around 400 DH.
