Dar Jamai
Dar Jamai Review
This 19th-century palace just inside the medina was built by the same family of viziers (high government officials) responsible for the Palais Jamaï hotel in Fez. The building itself is exquisite, especially the second-floor carved-cedar ceilings, interior Andalusian garden, and menzah(pavillion), which now houses the ethnographic Museum of Moroccan Art with an important collection of carpets, jewelry, ceramics, needlework, and woodwork. Facing away from Bab Mansour, the ceramics stalls on Place el-Hedime's left side sell oversize tagine pots for as little as 15 DH to 20 DH.
