Fodor's Review:

This handsomely restored 18th-century palace offers a refined atmosphere under painstakingly recrafted cedar ceilings. Classified as a table d'hôte (lodging with prix-fixe dinner prepared and taken together with hosts and other guests), this lodging feels more like a friend's house than a hotel. The restaurant, which exclusively serves guests of the house, offers meals such as briouates (spicy dumplings) or chwa'k dar (beef tagine). Owned and restored by discerning people, the hotel is run with a personal touch, and the location, between the Bab el-Jedid gate and the er-Rsif mosque, will allow you to get a good sense of the medina.

  • Hotel Details: 3 rooms, 10 suites
