Fodor's Review

This beachfront resort stretches for 500 meters (1,640 feet) along the Indian Ocean amid 10 hectares (25 acres) of indigenous gardens. The white Moorish-style main lodge has high arches, terra-cotta tiled floors, lots of space and offers a cool, inviting respite from the sand, sea, and sun. There's also plenty of space in the sea-facing whitewashed thatch clubrooms, each with a veranda and attractively furnished with soft white curtains, blue-and-white bedspreads, russet-color

tiled floors, and hand-carved furniture. The resort also has a huge free-form pool plus three plunge pools, three bars, and three restaurants. Sit beside the sea in the Bahari Cove restaurant and eat delicious fresh fish and seafood, or try the exotic Asian cuisine at Spices. Go deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, or sailing, or just chill out on the beach and watch the waves lapping on the white, sandy shore.

Indian Ocean Beach Club Review

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic two week break to Kenya. All I can say is Kenya is an amazing country We've never stayed anywhere where the staff have been so friendly or co-operative than at the Voyager. Its the first holiday I've ever had that I was nowhere near ready to come home from! Our only minor criticism was the bathroom needs some refurbishment it looked a little 'tired', but would have no hesitation in returning. Although

it was the rainy season , it did not spoil it in any way. Once again the staff excelled. All the staff are courteous, happy and bend over backwards to help and serve you. Nelly from the restaurant greets you with a smile and makes you feel special as she seams to remember everyone’s name. The choice of food is immense and of a high standard. The animation team work hard and always have a smile for you During our stay we took a 3 night safari with 'Whydah Explorers(www.whydahexplorers.com) - Again, I would have no hesitation in both recommending, and booking through Whydah again. We booked in advance on line following excellent recommendation by our friends who had been to Kenya in February,. Initially I was a little apprehensive about dealing at distance on line with a company, however, only a small deposit was required up front, with the balance payable upon our return from safari. We also had to meet him outside the hotel initially, but this is only because the tour operators sell their own trips - we found Whydah to be better value, as we were just the two of us in the jeep. He called daily to check everything was to our satisfaction, which it was, mainly due to our driver,Tall Alex. He was friendly, informative and made us laugh, but most of all, incredible at spotting animals while driving which we would not have noticed .After we returned from the Safari Alex collected us from the Hotel gate to their office to pay the balance We were also offered the service to be taken into town any time we wished free of charge. We love the Voyager, the staff etc and hope we will visit for many more years to come.
