Made using traditional methods, 5,000 bottles of wine are sold each year from the shop at Bahat Winery. The grapes—mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay—are grown in basalt soil 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) above sea level. Their distinctive flavor comes from being aged in French oak barrels. Owner Ofer Bahat is happy to divulge information and offer tastings.
