Golan Archaeological Museum

Golan Archaeological Museum Review

The Golan Archaeological Museum has a fascinating collection of animal bones, stones, and artifacts that put the region into historical and geographical perspective. Among the exhibits is a Bronze Age dwelling reconstructed from materials excavated nearby. Don't miss the moving film on the history and last stand of Gamla, the "Masada of the North," during the Great Revolt against the Romans (AD 66) and its rediscovery by archaeologists 1,900 years later. The museum is run in conjunction with the Ancient Katzrin Park.
