Tel Aviv Sights
The beachfront Tayelet (promenade) running from north Tel Aviv to Jaffa, some 4 km (2½ mi) to the south, is great to walk along, especially at sunset and on Saturdays. The city's main north-south thoroughfares of Hayarkon, Ben Yehuda (which becomes Allenby), Dizengoff (the once but no longer central shopping district), and Ibn Gvirol streets run more or less parallel to the shore.
