Fodor's Review

The Asian-influenced fare at this tiny casual eatery at the entrance to the Carmel Market is some of the freshest you will find in Israel. Each dish is made on the spot in an open kitchen by friendly brothers Shai and Ayal. The creative steamed buns veer from tradition, and the result is innovative without reaching too far—try the ones with braised short ribs, pickles, and miso barbecue sauce. The great Vietnamese salad with green papayas, green beans, cherry tomatoes,

and chili is a healthy addition alongside a steaming bowl of ramen or udon noodle soups. Finish off with the crème caramel miso, a smooth dessert with the consistency of flan, combining both salty and sweet flavors.
