¢, Cafe, Basel
Fodor's Review:
Unlike most establishments that bill themselves as "cafés," this neighborhood favorite really does serve only baked goods, coffee, and tea. Service is inside or outside, in a courtyard a few steps down from the street. The courtyard shuts out some of the hustle of nearby Ben Yehuda Street and -- along with some retro background music -- makes for a tranquil and fun place to stop and sit. The almond croissant, beautifully presented with a few little vanilla-cream-filled petit fours, is delicious.
