This museum makes you feel as if you were back in the days of the Palmach, the pre-state underground, with a group of young defenders. Visitors are led through rooms, each of which encompasses one part of the Palmach experience. There's the "forest," which has real-looking trees; a room with a falling bridge and faux-explosions; and a chilling mock-up of an illegal immigrants' ship.

This Museum is a "must see" for history buffs. You are "introduced" via film to a group of young Palmach recruits and follow along as they train and are deployed on various missions. Following the 90 minute presentation, you can visit with actual Palmach members who share their memories of those turbulent times while you peruse hundreds of scrapbooks and photo albums.
