As the loyal clientele will attest, Orna and Ella is worth the trips because of its comfort-food-with-a-twist menu. Entrées might be anything from moussaka to a tomato-and-cucumber salad piled high with feta cheese and topped with a yogurt-mint dressing. The house specialty, a mound of sweet-potato pancakes, is not to be missed. Desserts include a scrumptious pear-and-almond-cream tart. Innovative vegan offerings, such as macadamia nut dip, are worth a taste. There's often a long wait, especially Friday afternoons and weekday evenings.

What a find. Great food, friendly staff and gentle prices always makes for a fine dinning experience. I've been several times and have not been disappointed. Try the gazpacho if its on the menu.
