Vered Ha-Galil Guest Farm Review
When former Chicagoan Yehuda Avni and his Jerusalem-born wife Yonah came here in the 1960s, building this inn took a lot of imagination. While the stunning views of the Sea of Galilee were unbelievable, the site was barren hillside. The Avnis created something then unique in Israel: a ranch where guests can ride during the day and retire to luxurious rooms at night. The units, from cozy one-room cabins to larger, more luxurious cottages, combine wood and basalt rock. Some have wood-burning stoves and hot tubs overlooking the lake. The restaurant has a fine regional reputation for its hearty soups, salads, and steaks.
