In a magnificent 19th-century mansion with a Thousand and One Nights atmosphere, this eatery matches its magical setting with excellent Arab cuisine, from interesting salads (eggplant with cheese) and roasted lamb neck to kebabs and shashlik, as well as dishes with Indian or European influences. Pesto and grilled vegetables stuffed in a chicken breast is a good option, as are the variety of vegetarian choices. Don't pass up dessert.
23 Al Bishara St., next to the Basilica of the Annunciation, Nazareth, 16000, Israel

Al Reda is a must-do stop in any trip to Nazareth, or the North of Israel. Situated overlooking the Basilica of the Anunciation, you get a sense of years gone by, as the charming, knowledgable owner takes you through the history of the property, of Nazareth, the food and wine, and fills your trip with unexpected facts and anecdotes. The rental apartment on the top floor is filled with antiquities and curiosities and would make a perfect relaxing and
atmospheric stay for a few days. Take the owners' recommendations on food and wine, he cherishes the dishes on his menu like children, but you'd be hard pressed to take something that isn't mouthwatering.
