Ginosar
Many Israelis know Ginosar, a kibbutz founded in 1937, as the home of the late Yigal Allon (1918-80), commander of the crack Palmach battalions in the War of Independence and deputy prime minister of Israel in the 1970s under Golda Meir and Yitzhak Rabin. Travelers, however, come here to see the ancient fishing boat.
