Bike Jerusalem. You should be fairly skilled to join Bike Jerusalem's night tours through the city, but the day tours can accommodate less-experienced bikers. The price includes bike and helmet rentals. If you want, you can also just rent a bike and set out on your own. Veteran nationwide tour operators Egged Tours and United Tours offer similar half-day Jerusalem orientation tours, including a panoramic view and Old City highlights. Except for Saturday, full-day tours usually add Yad Vashem. Some itineraries have a particular Christian orientation. Prices are usually quoted in U.S. dollars. The approximate cost is $46 for a half-day tour and $68 for a full day, though some run as much as $89. The price includes pick-up from major hotels.
The daily rate for a private guide with an air-conditioned car, limousine, or seven-passenger van is $500 to $650; add another $100 for bigger vans. Many guides will offer their services without a car for $300 to $400 per day. For a private tour, approach Genesis 2000.

Zion Walking Tours is best known for its topic-focused Old City walking tours, but some of its eight routes venture well beyond the walls. Another option is Egged's Route 99 bus, a two-hour circle tour of Jerusalem.
