Leonardo Plaza Review

On a hill near the lively Downtown area, the 22-story Leonardo Plaza is a Jerusalem landmark. The terrific views, especially from upper floors (the top two have balconies) remind you where you are. The hotel is popular with high-end religious Jewish clientele. All guest rooms have been recently renovated, in gold and dark blue hues. Primavera, the nonmeat Italian restaurant presided over by acclaimed chef Shalom Kadosh, has won kudos locally for its good food and elegance. In addition, an outdoor barbecue is offered Sunday through Thursday in summer. The small pool, surrounded by unaesthetic concrete, encourages quick dips, not prolonged relaxation.
