Jerusalem Restaurants

Colony Review

Once used by the British Railroad Company, this vast space has tables scattered through the inside dining areas and out onto the balcony. There's a lengthy bar with comfortable couches for those seeking more of a salon vibe. A hangout for foreign journalists, diplomatic corps, and in-the-know locals, Colony offers a familiar but tasty menu of steaks, pastas, and salads, including the highly recommended roasted eggplant and marinated chicken. The extensive drink menu is worth a gander, especially the Sabra cactus cocktail. Be sure to order dessert, which usually includes a divine strawberry cassata and flavorful tahini ice cream.
