The copper ceiling, palm-tree planters, and dark polished-stone floors and columns enhance the pleasantly muted feel of the reception area. The newer guest rooms are a bit compact, but good lighting and interesting old prints on the walls make a difference; the similarly smallish bathrooms are tiled with pleasing sand-colored ceramics. Rooms in the older wing are larger but less well appointed; depending on availability, the front desk is usually happy to accommodate your preference. Pros: excellent location; pleasant staff. Cons: wannabe deluxe hotel.

I stayed in Dan hotels in Eliat and Jerusalem and both had mediocre customer service. This one was worst of the two. I'll avoid Dan hotels in the future.
