Lutheran Guesthouse

Fodor's Review:

Tucked into an Old City alley, between Jaffa Gate and the Jewish Quarter, the guesthouse is a maze of stone buildings and courtyards. The tranquil roof garden offers sweeping views of Jerusalem's holy places. Single rooms are very small; triples are ample. Angle for double room #25 with its own balcony. The new top-floor addition (nearing completion at press time) will include an indoor-outdoor coffee-shop. Pros: free Internet access; wonderful leaf-framed panoramas; free hot drinks. Cons: far from West Jerusalem sites; Old City atmosphere not for everyone.
