$$-$$$, Eclectic, King David St.
Fodor's Review:
In good weather, the wide, flagstone patio and stone arches make this restaurant at the YMCA one of Jerusalem's most relaxing spots. (Move indoors when it's cold.) The extensive menu -- with kid-friendly options -- is a good family choice, especially for Saturday lunch when most West Jerusalem eateries are closed. People-watch over a sigh-of-satisfaction draught beer while you wait for your first-rate first courses: baba ghanoush, hummus, green tahini, fried cauliflower, and kibbeh. Try shrimp in an exquisite anise sauce or the excellent steak fillets. Desserts are less memorable.
