Fodor's Review:

Overlooking Zion Square, this is as downtown as you can get. Don't look for frills—this is for the budget traveler—but you do get double-glazed windows and (somewhat frayed) wall-to-wall carpeting, keeping the noise level down. Dormitory beds (eight in a room) are $21 a night; larger private rooms sleep parents and two kids; children under 12 are free. There's air-conditioning at certain hours. Pros: good value; free Internet access. Cons: noisy street; a bit down at the heel.

  • Hotel Details: 20 rooms, 3 dormitories
  • In-room: no phone.
  • In-hotel: laundry facilities, Internet terminal, Wi-Fi hotspot, some pets allowed.
  • Rate includes: room-only arrangement
  • Credit Cards: AE, DC, MC, V

I stayed 4 nights at the Jerusalem hostel (I am not a tourist, but an Israeli who came to spend some time in Jerusalem). I took a double-bed room, class C. The place turned out to be far better than I expected. A clean room, nice people staying at the hostel, and it is even relatively quiet (considering the central location). The hostel is 10 minutes walk from the Old City, and just across the street from the Jerusalem "fun area", with pubs, bars and cafe's. In short, I'd reccomend it to my friends when they come to visit Israel.
