Reopened in October 2005 under new ownership and a new name (it was previously Hanagid), this small hotel enjoys a side-street location smack in the center of town. Shops and restaurants abound within blocks – yards, even – of the front door. The aesthetic remodeling has added rough limestone edges in the lobby; and off-white bedcovers and large mirrors to enhance light and space in the guest rooms. Windows are double-glazed. After breakfast, the dining room is transformed into La Carossa, a nonmeat Italian restaurant, with access from the street.
