Fodor's Expert Review Kings City

Eilat Amusement Park/Water Park

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

You'll need three or four hours to see everything at this biblical theme park, with sits near the northern end of the Promenade. The Cave of Illusions has, among other interactive diversions, hands-on games that test your mental acuity, a jail to test your ability to escape, a huge maze, and a large, endless kaleidoscope. Next, you reach the Bible Cave in an elevator that descends almost 200 feet underground to an immense cavern where human-like robots reenact Bible stories about King Solomon and other tales. In the Journey to the Past you see films about pharaohs in ancient Egypt, and then there's the thrilling 10-minute waterfall ride that ends in a huge splash. David's Spiral includes two slides, one of them 150 feet long. There's a kid-friendly restaurant, as well as a café, bar, and gift shop. Note that children less than a meter tall (about 3 feet) are not admitted. The park has access for people with mobility issues.
