Eilat and the Negev Shopping

Fodor's Review

For an early evening sampling of "Private Collection" Carmel wines produced in the Shomron region, drop by Eilat's oldest wine shop, Ha-Martef. Owner Itzik Ben Adiva will happily bring you up to date on Israel's burgeoning viniculture scene in his modest, jam-packed shop. It's in the industrial area close to Eddie's Hideaway and next to Lisa Fish—look for wall-size murals of women treading grapes. Ha-Martef ("the cellar" in Hebrew) is open Sunday through Thursday, 8 to 2 and 5 to 8.
