Fodor's Review

Formerly the Golden Tulip, this hotel is the only game in town, and feels a bit like it's fallen prey to captive-audience syndrome. Average in almost every way, it does provide up-to-date lodgings, especially for business travelers, who make use of three floors and a business lounge. The twelve-floor building's beige-and-brown stone reflects its desert surroundings, and arched windows soften the city's square look. Guest rooms are outfitted with wicker chairs, and the

curtains and bedspreads form a snappy color scheme of red, green, and butterscotch. Good reading lights are a welcome touch. Rooms on the business floor are equipped with safes and minibars. The breezy outdoor patio, with bubbling fountains, is a cool place to relax in the hot desert climate. The hotel's outdoor pool is open from April to October.
