Fodor's Review

At the 625-acre Oases of Antiquity, ancient terraces and wine and oil presses were excavated and restored, thousands of trees and shrubs were planted, and pools and cisterns were dug. A network of roads and walking paths (most of them paved and wheelchair accessible) allows for a leisurely exploration of the site. Take one of the self-guided tours (maps available in English) or inquire ahead about times of guided tours. Allow two hours minimum for the visit.
