Fodor's Review

The second right after al-Ghuriyya along al-Mu'iz leads to a small alley named Shar'a Khushqadam. Fifty yards up on the right, look for the well-preserved, 16th-century, wealthy merchant's house. Enter through the massive wooden doors that feed into the courtyard. Of particular interest are the mashrabiyya (wooden latticework screen) and stained-glass windows, the stone Mamluk-style facia panels, the marble floors, and the reception room's wooden ceilings.
