Fodor's Review

Bibliophile Hassan Kamy stocks his shop with the city's best selection of books, antique maps, prints, and lithographs, plus wonderful antique postcards that are almost too good to mail. The store was started in the early 1950s by a Swiss expat who collected from the Europeans leaving Egypt at the time. When he, too, repatriated, he left the shop to his assistant, who sold it to Kamy. Once a tenor at the Opera House, and French educated, Kamy stocks a good selection of books in French in addition to those in English and Arabic.
