Fodor's Review

Originally built in the 1940s in Art Deco style by Thomas Lamb, this Downtown theater opened with the Egyptian premiere of Gone With the Wind. Its interior was severely damanged by a fire in 1952 but was rebuilt; today the theater looks as handsome as it did when it first opened. American and Egyptian films are screened here.
