This restaurant manages a nice balance between formal elegance (with brocade tapestries on the wall and heavy, carved wood chairs) and relaxed comfort (largely due to the friendly service). It is also one of the few in Cairo to pay attention to the visual presentation of each dish: for example, the bresaola (air-cured beef) comes thinly sliced with basil pesto and arranged around a honeydew melon, suggesting the rays from a sun. There are vegetarian dishes, and others billed as "healthy food" (identified by a little heart icon on the menu). But this is not spa cuisine—everything here is rich and filling, so why not just have the roast rack of lamb with polenta or the grilled king prawns?
