Conveniently located in Cairo's finest residential quarter, the President has long been a moderately priced favorite. Too long, perhaps, because the bright green furnishings in the rooms now seem bizarre and out of date. The hotel is split between what the hotel calls large rooms—pleasant, sunlit rooms with balconies and nice views—and normal rooms—drab, dingy spaces without balconies. Make your preferences clear when you call to book.
