Hotel Longchamps

21 Shar'a Ismail Mohammed, Cairo, Cairo, 11211, Egypt

This lovely little bed-and-breakfast is on the upper floors of a medium-sized tower block, offering a quiet refuge from the city and Old World charm. Rooms are individually furnished, and the Superior ones—and their bathrooms—are modern; Standard rooms are slightly smaller and the fittings older, but they are still wearing well. There's a cozy lounge, two large terraces, replete with well-tended plants, and a decent library of books if you want to read and relax. This is a popular hotel, so book as far in advance as possible.
