Bertha's Restaurant

¢-$$$, Bistro, False Bay

User Rating: **** 4.2

Fodor's Review:

Alfresco dining at this waterfront venue offers a feast for both palate and eye. Boating activities from the naval dockyard on one side and yacht club on the other add action to a backdrop of sparkling water and mountain. The contemporary menu makes good use of local seafood, such as Atlantic black mussels and line-caught fish, which is grilled or fried. There are also reasonably priced burgers and yummy spiked ice-cream drinks and coffees. Lunch here is popular, so it's a good idea to reserve in advance.

The best restaurant of the Cape

Posted by Robert from Oosterzele Belgium on 10/23/06

We are from Belgium, and we can recommand this restaurant. Bertha's is our favourite restaurant in the Cape. Looking out on the harbour, it offers a pleasant atmosphere and good value for money. Go eat by fall evening..., What a view! You can see what the view is on our website : " http://moorkes.tk/ ", go to "fotoalbum" and then to "Simon's Town". Whe have no picture of the interieur of Betha's. I hope someone can sent me a pictureof it. I hope You engoy it like we have done.
