Airports & Transfers

Menara Airport is Marrakesh's airport. It receives domestic flights as well as international connections from the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Royal Air Maroc has an office in town.

There are no buses from the airport. The standard charge for a run into the medina in petits taxis (smaller versions of the grands taxis that serve only Marrakesh and its suburbs) starts at EUR 10 during the daytime and EUR 15 after dark. This is one price you probably won't be able to haggle down, no matter how hard you try; the drivers are no doubt aware that most visitors simply want to find their way to a hotel as quickly as possible. One way to lower the cost is to find other tourists in the baggage-claim hall with whom to share the taxi.
