$-$$$$, Moroccan, Meknes
Fodor's Review:
This family-run restaurant in a residential part of the Ville Nouvelle is well known in Meknes for its serious cuisine, folkloric spectacles, and ability to serve 600 people at once. The downside is that you may find yourself either dining in a vast empty space or surrounded by 598 tourists; the reliable upside is that the food is excellent and the family warm and generous. Try the brique Tetuan, a kind of briouate (spicy dumpling). The tagine de kabab maghdour (hunks of meat stewed in onions and spices) is a Meknes specialty.
