Fodor's Expert Review Riviera Resort & Spa

1600 N. Indian Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, California, 92262, USA

Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.

A party place built in 1958 and renovated in 2016, the Riviera attracts young, well-heeled, bikini-clad guests who hang out around the pool by day, and at the Bikini Bar by night. Spacious rooms fill a collection of two-story buildings that circle a huge free-form pool, with a restaurant and a couple of bars tucked into corners. Choose from upper floors with balconies, or ground floor patios that are close to the action. Although adorned with huge and tiny mirrors everywhere, rooms are done in an appealing Age of Aquarius palette of orange, brown, and green, and many have whirlpool or soaking tubs and fireplaces.
